What is STEM?

The term STEM stands for the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM education, then, is the learning of these STEM subjects through an integrated approach; one that offers hands-on and relevant learning experiences.

Why STEM education is so important today?

It is recognised that there is an international shortage of educated and qualified workers in the STEM fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. With current worldwide technological changes, these fields have also been predicted as growth areas in the job markets of the future.

Development of scientific interest in your child requires a nurturing environment, exposure to scientific and technological ideas and concepts, plus an awareness of current and future global concerns.

New technological developments including those in AI, artificial intelligence, and global climate change pose a challenge to traditional careers and mean a shift in future career demands as well as the skills required to meet those changes.
